The institution: from built to running研究院：从建好到跑通

The institution is where PI takes on bigger questions: a director, reviewers and a council are separate roles, and review happens apart from the research. Most of the pieces are built and covered by offline tests. What comes next is one complete, real research run, to see whether it holds up on an actual question.

研究院是 PI 里处理大问题的地方：主持、评审和评审会是不同的角色，评审和研究分开进行。大部分零件已经建好，也有离线测试覆盖；接下来要做的，是完整地跑一轮真实的研究，看它在真问题上站不站得住。

Lyra’s window now holds several chats that share one Lyra, her notes and to-dos. She can do more on my behalf than before, and the rule hasn’t changed: before permanent deletion, spending, or messaging anyone, she asks me.

PI Chrome is the browser the agents use. It recently got a read-only mirror in the work panel, so I can see what an agent is doing on a page without leaving my own work.

PI Chrome 是代理们用的浏览器。最近加了一块只读镜像，放在工作面板里：代理在网页上做什么，我在旁边就能看到。

Reading papers lives inside PI now, with my Zotero library and Obsidian notes next to the conversation. The current work is making PDF annotation saves more reliable: one failed save must not take the following annotations down with it.

把读论文这件事放进 PI：Zotero 文献库和 Obsidian 笔记就在对话旁边。最近在做的是让 PDF 批注的保存更可靠，一次保存失败不能连累后面的批注。

October was the busiest month for pull requests so far, with 40 merged, and CodeGraph-Rust #5 followed on November 2. Most are concrete little problems: encodings, streamed responses, parsing, and values at the edges. The full list is on the open-source page.

十月是交 PR 最密的一个月，合并了 40 个；11 月 2 日又合了 CodeGraph-Rust #5。大多是很具体的小问题：编码、流式响应、解析和边界上的数值。完整清单在开源页。

Not doing, for now暂时不做的

• Releasing PI. It is wired to my own machine and accounts, with no installer and no docs.
• Publishing memory, digests or job output. Those are personal by design.

• 不发布 PI。它连着我自己的机器和账号，没有安装包，也没有文档。
• 不公开记忆、摘要和任务产出。这些本来就是私人的。
